The Laurel Lamp Foundation Archive proudly houses the most extensive and significant collection of original Laurel Lamp Company catalogs, business records, original design sketches, historical newspaper clippings and advertisements, personal records from the founders, and other historical documents from the formation of the company in 1946 until its eventual disappearance from the home furnishings market in 1981.
As part of the Laurel Lamp Foundation’s commitment to the preserving the legacy of the Laurel Lamp Company, our team is ardently dedicated to accurately documenting the unique history of Laurel’s designs and designers through meticulous research and review of original Laurel materials, ensuring that the company’s history is widely accessible for generations to come.
In an age of widespread misinformation, we also understand the significance of factual research in preserving the true essence of Laurel's contributions, and we strive to maintain the integrity of Laurel’s legacy by diligently documenting every aspect of its designs and the talented individuals behind them in the documents accessible below.
Our nonprofit foundation recognizes that, despite the substantial nature of our archive, it cannot possibly encompass the thousands of designs created by Laurel over a span of 35 years, starting in 1946. Therefore, our curator and team remain readily available to examine any additional documentation that could provide further context to the rich history of this renowned company. We welcome any contributions that can shed light on the remarkable journey of Laurel Lamp Company.
As all of the content on our website is protected, we kindly request that you contact our nonprofit foundation for written permission to share, redistribute, or publish any of our archive materials. In our commitment to transparency, our curator and team will continue to add historical content and documentation as available.
